Unlock Your Hormones
- discover the key to: gain energy, lose weight, relieve anxiety, improve libido, sleep better in menopause and andropause
by Dr Graeme Williams
Unlock Your Hormones is much more than just a book about menopause and
andropause.
Whilst easy to read and understand, it is a scholastic
critique examining the current, but controversial aspects of hormone replacement
therapy, and how raised oestrogen levels significantly contribute to the 21st
century epidemic - our ten most common ‘diseases’ - obesity, anxiety,
depression, blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, prostate
enlargement, breast cancer and prostate cancer.
It has been written to acknowledge the widespread prevalence
of unrecognised hormonal symptoms amongst men and women.
We are literally drowning in a rising tide of oestrogen
excess. The widespread use of agricultural pesticides and herbicides, of
hormone-enhanced poultry, beef, pork and seafood, and the relentless
accumulation of non-biodegradable synthetic oestrogens from HRT and the pill,
have contaminated our worlds water supplies. The corporate driven dissemination
of oestrogen excess has caused increasing infertility, created developmental
malformations and promoted unprecedented hormone-related growth disorders.
Unlock Your Hormones is about questioning established belief;
about promoting a paradigm shift in medical and commercial thinking, in much the
same way that our perception of smoking, pollution, and even global warming,
have changed.
Unlock Your Hormones carries a simple but often ignored message that will
help people to enjoy living, achieve weight loss, increase energy, reduce
anxiety, improve libido and sleep peacefully, on a daily basis; and hopefully,
it will create an awareness of environmental oestrogens and the need for urgent
change, necessary to maintain the health of our wider community and the lives of
generations to come.

Global Purchases
by Lyn Wiegmans
There is no doubt Lyn Wiegmans has a fighting spirit and a very good sense of
timing to go with it. She has to. Her very life depends on it. The chime of the
grandfather clock, the cuckoo bird, the relentless beeping of the radio clock...
for Lyn these are battle cries never to be ignored... On the inside two opposing
forces lock in a timely battle each one fighting for supremacy every single day
of Lyn's life. Killing off the enemy is a timely manoeuvre and accuracy counts
for everything. Yet on the outside one would never know the inner turmoil of
those opposing forces... This is a semi-biographical work. Lyn offers a greater
understanding of the complexities of living with the enemy, but more
importantly, she shows it is possible to still embrace life and love it
regardless of the internal battle. She's living proof that you can survive with
diabetes through the various stages of life if you just take charge.
Endorsed by Assoc Professor Chris Strakosch MD, FRACP Head of Section,
Southern Clinical School Greenslopes Campus.
Lyn attended a public course run by Paulette.

by Father Harry Morrissey
Harry Morrissey writes out of his own experience of a variety of pastoral
settings in several states throughout Australia. The book takes the basic vision
of the Second Vatican Council that the Church is a 'communion'. The author
reflects widely on its meaning in today's social circumstances.
Father Harry discovered Debut Publishing via word of mouth. His manuscript
arrived completed in very good order. We spent a couple of months making small
adjustments to the text then proceeded with the typesetting and design of the
cover.

by Sandy Whittaker
Sandy is a survivor of childhood abuse. Here she writes about her life as
well as how that abuse quietly and insidiously eroded her self-confidence and
self-worth and stole even her basic joy. Even though Sandy’s inner child went
into hiding, it never died. One day it would experience, evolve, emerge. Slowly,
at first, as if afraid to face the light, the being within the cocoon stirred,
then a miraculous quickening followed as Sandy began the mammoth task of freeing
herself and of healing the child within.
"I read in a Bryce Courtney book recently something that touched some hidden
spring in my soul and I cried brokenheartedly. Bryce explained his philosophy on
our history saying that we begin to understand who we are when we know that
history, but when it is hidden from us, our future becomes confused, "says Sandy.
Sandy contacted Paulette after purchasing a copy of Stop Stalling and Start
Writing the Story of Your Life at Bookworld. They met face-to-face once a month
over a 12-month period and also communicated via email.

toughest of life's challenges. It also proves this woman's uniqueness and is
another example of her giving of herself. Colleen is indomitable and intrepid;

project putting all her notes, and our contact number, ‘in a safe place’. Four
years passed before Colleen felt ready to write.

Cobbers — A history of suburban and military cohesion
by Merle McGovern, Daphne Gibson, Des Mulroney
Are suburbs unique? Is their growth influenced by such factors as industry,
commerce and large government institutions like the military? The authors
believe these elements play an important role in forming a community. They feel
fortunate to live in an area largely formed by the presence of the military at
Gallipoli Barracks Enoggera and historically by the army camp at Grovely during
World War II.
Paulette met Merle, Daphne and Des in 2002 at a workshop she delivered for
Triple Y Community Radio which is a part of the church the three attend in
Brisbane. The three writers then contacted Paulette after they had secured a
small grant from Brisbane City Council to write the history of the Enoggera
region. The process took 18 months, all four worked well together via Australia
Post and Telstra.
